The Girls Education Initiative of Ghana provides academic and financial support for girls and applicants with special needs so that they can access higher education and professional opportunities.

GEIG will transform the lives of young women in Ghana and improve development and poverty reduction of the country overall by offering higher education and professional opportunities to an untapped source of talent.

GEIG Learns

Selected students for the program will be required to receive corrective classes and workshops, should there be a need, to ensure smooth academic transition to junior high school.

GEIG Leads

Students will be required to hold membership and if possible, a leadership role in a campus club/organization or community.

GEIG Serves

Following each academic year, students will be expected to obtain internship or volunteer experience to aid in their professional development

GEIG Extended Programs

At GEIG we are focused on the core development of the beneficiaries. We believe in quality over quantity hence we engage our beneficiaries in activities and programs that will develop their professional skills as well as improve their academic performance.

  • GEIG Connected Communities

    Connected Communities – Applied Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) is a program developed to expand GEIG LEARNS program to focus on engaging other students and schools in the community towards critically thinking and applying theoretical concepts in STEAM to socio-economic matters that leads to development and contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

  • GEIG Ladies Achievers Club

    GEIG Ladies Achievers Club will be established in the senior high schools that the beneficiaries attend. Our beneficiaries become presidents of the club and lead programs with the support of other students/club members and school.Members will be selected after passing our aptitude test. The aptitude test will be around academics, entrepreneurship and self assessment.

  • GEIG Mentorship Program

    GEIG’s partnerships and activities in the community. GEIG Students are expected/ required to serve as mentors to younger beneficiaries following their tenure as beneficiaries to encourage the growth and expansion of the #GEIGfamily in Ghana.

  • GEIG Junior Internship Program

    Internships and professional exposure is important to comprehensive education. Experience outside the classroom will expose students to critical elements of careers and professionalism, and develop sustainable life skills.

  • GEIG Foundations

    We spent the first 3 weeks of August at a partner institution to learn and engage in professional skills development programs whiles going on excursions too.

  • GEIG Women Who Inspire Us

    We always want our girls to be inspired to aspire to be great community leaders. In light of this, we engage them with women who are going beyond to make the world a better place. We look forward to our girls becoming change makers and leaders.
